Hi. This is me.
Amazingly, I do this kind of thing for fun.
It seems every year I get antsy and want to start a new blog project. Since I’ve been kicking this one around for more than a year, who knows, maybe it’ll stick.
I’m hoping I can make this a place where western white kids like me can finally find comprehensive info about eastern-style sweets and baked goods. The information is out there, now, but you have to really, really work for it. As in, there is not a single book on Amazon on the subject, and the cookbooks you CAN get are from Hong Kong and poorly translated into English.
I am not a particularly good baker, as these things go, but I did want to see if I could contribute to the cooking knowledge out there in the internets.
I want to give a HUGE shout out to all of the baking bloggers in Singapore, Austrailia and Malaysia who are pretty much the SOLE SOURCE of eastern-style baking on the internet. You are an inspiration!
